Prime Minister Trudeau,
I ask that you urgently seek the release of Raif Badawi, my husband and father of our three children, Najwa, Terad and Miryam. When we met in January 2015, I left your office full of hope. I was convinced that if you were elected, you would do everything in your power to free Raif.
As we discussed, Raif has been unjustly imprisoned since June 2012. Canada opened it’s doors to me as a refugee, and now I live in Quebec with our children. While I enjoy life in Sherbrooke, Quebec, with people who have come to be “my new family”, Raif is still languishing in prison. He was unjustly sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1,000 lashes by a court that didn’t even respect the laws of Saudi Arabia or its international obligations.
To sign the PETITION.
